Standard alarms use a series of sensors connected to a Central Control Unit. This connection can be hardwired through low voltage wiring or wireless systems.
The Central Control Unit has an interactive response mechanism, triggered by the sensors and connected to the alarms, the police and fire departments, or even your smart phone if you want that. Anything from lighting and sound to motion detectors, access control and cameras can be “wired” into your alarm system.
Choosing an effective alarm system is critical to security. You must consider the individual components and hardware, then match these to a Central Control Unit appropriate to your needs. You must consider where and how the sensors and auxiliary components; cameras, lighting, etc, are positioned and installed and whether hardwired or wireless is better for your needs.
Like most technical things now, you have endless choices and possibilities for the design of an Alarm System.
